About Pegasus Aeromarine, Inc.

Pegasus Aeromarine Inc. is dedicated to providing excellent service for all of your composite parts, and your aircraft thermal and acoustic insulation needs. Whether you need parts manufactured in carbon/epoxy fiberglass/vinylester or you need to insulate your aircraft for thermal and acoustic insulation, we can help.

As a pilot myself, I appreciate what it can be like to spend hours inside a small aircraft with a noisy interior. Having spent many years designing thermal and acoustic interiors for large jets, then looking for products that would work in my kit aircraft I was building, I realized that the products out there were very confusing, there was no way to compare performance and nothing was designed to work as a system. Furthermore, some were heavy, some were light and the price varied from very expensive to cheap while phone calls to manufacturers proved frustrating. One single product was often sold as the solution to every part of the aircraft. And there was no way of gauging one product to another and whether one manufacturer’s $500 acoustic kit was any better than another’s $2000 kit. There HAD to be a better way!

It was with this realization that Pegasus Aeromarine came to being.

Simply stated, we have designed acoustic treatment systems for every area of an aircraft with 3 levels of treatment that allows you to make the decision as to how much treatment you want.

We have selected some of the best products in the business and combined them into acoustic systems that allow YOU to decide what level of treatment, weight, and cost to place inside your aircraft. These are seldom one single product to treat one area. Most often the best solution is a combination of materials that together give superior performance for a given area of treatment.

One of the ways we differentiate ourself from our competition is that we help you make an informed decision as to what level of treatment is right for you. In trying to assist aircraft owners make informed decisions as to acoustic and thermal insulation, we've also designed our web site to become a source for education. There should be enough acoustic educational information on our web site to allow you to make a really informed decision as to how best you want to treat your aircraft, but if there isn't, feel free to contact us. The Kit Aircraft Acoustic Educational Info section includes discussions of what problems and solutions each area of a home built light aircraft faces, and what it is that we are trying to do. The more you know, the better we can assist you.

Plus, unlike many of the "other" treatments that are out on the market which were designed for buildings or automotive and trucks, our materials all pass FAR 25.853 (a), 12 second vertical burn.

I hope that you find our web site entertaining, informative, and most of all, that the information and products we provide allow you to get the most enjoyment out of flying your pride and joy!

Good flying!
