Absorbers are a noise treatment. They are generally light weight, good thermal insulators and are typically foam or fiberous batting like fiberglass. Absorbers only affect noise that has entered the space being treated so they are the last resort and may be only partially effective in noise reduction.
We offer fiberglass batting, open celled and closed cell absorber foams. In addition, we have fire retardant felt that acts as an absorber in addition to being a decoupler for a barrier and an excellent vibration damper when held in intimate contact with the surface being treated.
Our materials all pass FAR 25.853(A) - 12 second vertical burn.
